Players are only allowed to move their checkers in the middle section of the board if they are able to make a two or three from a die roll.
When a player did not succeed in removing the checkers trapped in the middle part of the backgammon board, then the player is said to acquire backgammon. Losing backgammon is one of the important things that may lead player to failure. Hence, players should do their very best to avoid having backgammon.
